I'm training to run my first marathon at the Eugene Marathon in Eugene, Oregon on April 28, 2013. It has been my dream to participate in a marathon for quite a while. Earlier this year I completed my first half marathon in Minden, NV and now I am on to the full marathon.
Although completing a full marathon is my personal goal, I am truly excited to be running for a much bigger purpose.
I have decided to become a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing my marathon in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
